Tips and Tricks to get the perfect Atlantic Beach rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local Havelock visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning and choosing a perfect Havelock rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your trip dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautiful coastal home with water\/sunset views, private outdoor areas, AC, & W\/D has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is often accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before you book the vacation property. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Does your group require particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your .
  • Upon check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
