Strategies to get the perfect Havelock vacation home experience:

Getting the most from your rental home budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in Atlantic Beach. Reserve your Havelock vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies supply Havelock area travel guides which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Choose a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and choose a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Updated 3rd-Floor Home With Courtyard & Partial Beach View, Shared Pools\/Hot Tub has 1 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your family.
  • Some rentals allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.
  • If there's a certain Havelock beach you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • To make certain damages are not attributed to your stay, record any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the rental manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
