Only one mile from Emerald Isle boat ramp, one block from ocean, and one block from sound for kayaking. Simple access to stores, eateries and Emerald Isle's bicycle path is right outside your front door. Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier and Emerald Forest Golf are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Theodore Roosevelt Natural Area and Croatan National Forest. Flatwaters Paddling and Emerald Isle Adventures are also worth visiting.   • Summer is the most expensive season in Emerald Isle. To get the best rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Havelock attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
