Our top Atlantic Beach vacation rental home tips and tricks:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock area magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations and attractions.

Make a plan and choose the perfect Havelock rental:

  • Select your vacation week and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. King Suite-Unit 104 - Island Inn Atlantic Beach has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is right for your family.
  • If there's a certain Havelock attraction you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request information on breed, size, and type requirements. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents many difficulties.
  • Be respectful. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
