We are located directly on the Atlantic Ocean with spectacular vistas of sunrises in the east and sunsets in the west. No Wake Zone West provides all the needed amenities plus those that only God can provide . . . again the sunrises and sunsets, the smell of the salt air, beautiful waves, soft sand, pelican fly-overs, and the bountiful and unique shells that wash up on shore.
Every time of the year is special and there is no bad day at the beach. We've appreciated the strong winds and powerful waves during tropical storms, the magnificent hot days of summer, and the calming cool days of autumn. The mere sound of the ocean waves brings a calmness to weary travelers. It's nice to go to sleep and wake up to the steady rhythm of the Atlantic Ocean.

Emerald Isle vacation rental home tips:
Get the best value:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. To find the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Make a plan and pick yourrental home:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. Oceanfront-Emerald Isle NC 5BR 3BA West-East Side Available too. Book Now! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, contact the property management company before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or costs may be applied to your invoice.
- If there's a particular Havelock destination you crave, look for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be valuable if damages are assessed.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
