Located in Emerald Isle, this vacation home is on the beach. Flatwaters Paddling and Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway are local attractions and those in the mood for shopping can visit Beach Wheels Bike Rental and Emerald Plantation. Money saving strategies:

• Summertime is the most expensive season in the Havelock area. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
• Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Owners sometimes offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
• Property managers often offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
• Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation group.
• Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
• Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
• Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
• At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you did not forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Inspect the property a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
• Did you have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
