Tricks and tips to get the best Havelock rental home experience:

Get the best rental home value:

  • Summer is high season in the Havelock area. Reserve your rental home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Havelock visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have coupons for nearby shops and restaurants.

Filter your search:

  • Start by having your group choose a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Spacious pool view 4BR townhome, short walk to beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. If not, reach out to the host before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • Are you looking for special amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or applied to your invoice.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your . We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Make a record of any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • On check-out day, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
