Getting the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

Get the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • To book the most suitable rental within your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Havelock restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect rental home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select vacation week and spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beautifully Remodeled, Oceanfront, 3rd-Floor Condo with Balcony & Shared Pools has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, call the property management company before reserving your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your group.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
