Atlantic Beach rental property booking tips and tricks:
When to reserve a Havelock rental & When to go:
- Booking your vacation rental in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
- The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:
- Choose vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family needs. Beautifully Remodeled, Oceanfront, 3rd-Floor Condo with Balcony & Shared Pools has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, email the property manager before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Make a record of any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local scenic spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
