Havelock vacation rental booking tips:

How to get the best rental value:

  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and reduced traffic.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitor guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Finding the perfect vacation rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. BREATHTAKING VIEWS\/ DIRECT OCEAN FRONT has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally available online. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Some properties allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • If there's a particular Havelock destination you are enamored with, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
