Tricks and tips to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Havelock attractions. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites often offer renters an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines that include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the perfect rental home in Atlantic Beach:

  • First and foremost, have your group choose dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family requires. COME & ENJOY ALL THAT ATLANTIC BEACH HAS TO OFFER !! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. If not, contact the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches. You'll need to determine what configuration is best for your family.
  • If there's a specific Havelock destination you are crazy about, browse rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.

More tips for your stay:

  • We recommend storing the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any issues with the rental at check in, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of problems.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your home life. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
