o Doors and windows should be closed when outside temperature is above 72 degrees.

• ALL DISHES are to be washed AND put away
• Please remove all personal effects (check under beds) we cannot save items left behind
• NO SMOKING in any part of the home or the decks due to extreme fire danger
• NO PETS violation will lead to a penalty fee and/or eviction (please respect other residents with sever allergies

Emerald Isle offers Family fun for everybody....with bicycle and running trails that run parallel to Emerald Dr, miniature golf, go carts, water slide, great shopping in Emerald Plantation, movie theater, eateries that include everything from pizza to burgers to Seafood. The Bogue Inlet Pier is a must see to find out what the "catch of the day" is. If you just need to relax, pull up a chair and savor the ocean waves while reading a good book. We've got you covered.

Emerald Isle also offers a Public Boat Ramp (no costs) located at Jean Preston Park about mid way the island. (near Chapel By the Sea). There is a play ground and public restroom located there as well. We have multiple kayak launch areas and parks within the city limits, including a Sound front park with dock located on Coast Guard Road and one on Cedar St. (great to go crabbing at) You may also appreciate Surf Fishing all along the 12 mile stretch of our gorgeous island. We have a Fishing Gear store and multiple Convenient Stores that offer bait, hooks and other fishing items you will need. Don't forget you need a Fishing License to Surf Fish but can enjoy fishing from the Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier by purchasing a fishing pass for the day or week.

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warm weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance.   • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at departure. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
