Tips to get the best Havelock rental experience:
When to go & When to reserve a rental home:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. To get the best value, change your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Many rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning and picking the bestvacation home:
- To start, have your family select trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. 3rd Floor Oceanfront Condo w\/Great Ocean and Pool Views and Shared Pools has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out which bed configuration is best for your group.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Are you visiting for a single event? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
More considerations:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the directions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of issues.
- Lock your rental while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
- To ensure that damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to confirm you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
