Strategies to get the perfect rental experience:
Sticking to a budget:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. Book your rental in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental home six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Property managers sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have deals for local accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the perfect vacation home in the Havelock area:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. 5th Floor Condo with breathtaking views of Beaufort Waterfront & Carrot Island. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property management company before you reserve the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
- If there's a certain Havelock beach you are crazy about, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly rental. Ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to stimulate future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
