Rental home tips:
Finding the best value:
- Summer time is high season in the Havelock area. Reserve your rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some owners offer promotional rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property management companies usually offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great articles, travel guides contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.
Finding the perfect rental:
- Begin by selecting the best vacation week and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Anchor Management - Emerald Isle NC Home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available online. If not, email the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If there's a specific Havelock beach you crave, search for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly property. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
Tips to have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. Contact the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
