Tips to get the best Beaufort rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- Booking your Havelock vacation home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which often include coupons, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to choose the perfect rental in the Havelock area:
- Choose your dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Beaufort Retreat, with pool, pickle ball, clubhouse, resort amenities has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly accessible online. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
- If there's a specific Havelock destination you long to visit, browse homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
Advice for your stay:
- Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the host immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
