How to book the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to select the perfect rental in Atlantic Beach:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Bright Condo with WiFi, W\/D, Screened Porch & Community Pool\/Tennis\/Day Dock has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the host before reserving your home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your trip.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental home.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

Tips for your stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager right away to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your home life. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Upon check-out, take a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Make sure to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to compel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
