How to book the best Havelock rental experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summertime is high season in Emerald Isle. To book the best rental for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many rental management companies supply Havelock area travel guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by choosing vacation dates and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Point Emerald A-208, Oceanfront Condo in Emerald Isle, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is usually available online. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is right for your group.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.

Advice for your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents quite a few concerns.
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. Contact the host right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental managers make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
