Booking the best rental experience:
Sticking to your rental budget:
- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. Booking your Havelock vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
How to choose the best vacation rental in Beaufort:
- Choose dates and max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Sea Glass- Walking Distance to Front Street and it's Pet Friendly! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. If you don't see them listed, email the host before booking the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly property. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
- If there's an individual Havelock attraction you crave, keep an eye out for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
Considerations for your stay:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
- To make sure damages aren't linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. message the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to drive new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
