Getting the best Atlantic Beach rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Havelock rental home:

  • Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain discounts for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Begin by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Southwinds F4 1st Floor Direct Oceanfront has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property manager before reserving the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your contract.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of difficulties.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
