The Lookout is located at 1306 Queens Courts on Emerald Isle, the Western portion of Bogue Banks barrier island of the Southern Outer Banks. Queens Court is conveniently located near the Hwy 58 Cameron Langston Bridge, avoiding the traffic of Emerald Isle, and within walking distance to striking local eateries and stores. It is a gated community with residents and tourists alike. 

You will be able to experience the grandeur of The Lookout and the tranquility of the beach without having to navigate steps and stairs. The elevator and ramps will take you to your destination with ease. No need to worry with keys. The Lookout has been newly refreshed with keyless entry. No more sharing keys or leaving the key on the beach. You will be given an individualized pass code for use during your stay.
Other recent renovations include new furnishings, a fresh coat of paint throughout, new kitchen pots, pans, Keurig and other necessities.  The Lookout also has a brand new deck with special floor to keep your feet cool!  There are also new draperies, a ceiling fan in living room and all three bedrooms and even recessed lighting has been added throughout The Lookout. And there's more, but please don't take our word for it. Retreat to The Lookout to experience this rare oceanfront vacation hideaway in Emerald Isle. 

About the Area

Located in Emerald Isle, this condo is on the beach. Emerald Forest Golf and Bogue Inlet Fishing Pier are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Salty Pirate Water Park and Emerald Isle Adventures. The Sweet Spot and MacDaddy's Entertainment Center are also worth visiting.

Tips and Tricks to get the best vacation property experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines have deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. The Lookout at Queens Court has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.

Additional considerations:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just prior to departing, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
