Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Havelock vacation property experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. Book your rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Look for your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local articles, visitor guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning and choosing a perfect Havelock rental:
- Select a group leader, choose your vacation week, and select a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the configuration you need. Waterfront OLDE TOWN YACHT CLUB Condo w\/ Pool & Stunning Views of Radio Island has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking pages. If not, contact the property management company before you book the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the host about pets before booking.
Considerations for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
- During arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your home life. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
