Beaufort vacation rental tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best rental in Beaufort:
- Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. 2023 townhome with private deck, seasonal pool access, & community dock has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property owner before you book the property. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what is suitable for your vacation.
- Some properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking
Have a wonderful stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- During check-in, record any issues with the property and immediately contact the host. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local attractions.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the property a final time and scan for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to propel more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
