With a pool behind this building that you can see from the deck, this is a great unit for family with kids! Totally modernized. Immaculate condition. 2 bedrooms, 2 full big bathrooms. 1 queen, 1 queen, 2 twin bunk beds. Full kitchen: microwave, dishwasher, glass top stove, refrigerator, new front-loading washer/dryer. Free high-speed WiFi. 40" HD TV, Blu-Ray player and Roku in Living Room. HD TV and Roku in main bedroom. Southwinds is a family friendly ocean front condominium complex with two swimming pools, grilles, and additional laundry facilities on site. It is a short drive down the road or a short walk down the beach to get to Fort Macon State Park. No smoking and no family pets! Southwinds does not allow trailers or boats to be parked here. Includes bedroom linens and bath towels. Family friendly and great for kids in the summer. In the Spring/Fall, great for romantic getaways and slow calming.

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. To get the best value, try shifting your group's trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses.
