Rental home booking tips:

Find your perfect rental:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Book your Havelock rental home in the Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, management companies supply Havelock area visitor guide magazines which include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Select your vacation dates and budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Oceanfront Complex, First Floor Southwinds, Ocean & Sound Views, 2 Pools! has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible online. Otherwise, call the host before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • If there's an individual Havelock beach you are crazy about, look for homes that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your phone. Print and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're out! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the rental manager immediately to relay your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific resource to find the best local scenic spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
