Pine Knoll Shores vacation rental home tips:

Finding the best rental value:

  • To find the best vacation home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Havelock restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, travel guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

Finding the best rental:

  • Select a designated group leader, choose your dates, and select a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your family needs. Beachwalk 112, Oceanfront Condo in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, call the host before you reserve your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly rental. Get specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Advice for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
