Tips to get the optimal Havelock vacation home experience:

- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
- Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Often, property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose the perfect vacation home:
- To start, have your family choose vacation dates and a budget.
- Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Great Get away, 3rd Floor, Ocean View Beach Condo has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you book your home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to determine what configuration is right for your group.
- Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking.
- Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges may be applied to your invoice.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home.
- To make sure no damages are linked to your family's stay, make note of any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- Re-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to compel future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
