Rental property booking tips and tricks:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Havelock vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer great weather, , and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides have deals for local tours and attractions.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in Atlantic Beach:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. King Junior-Unit 114 has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly accessible online. If not, call the property owner before booking the rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or may be applied to your agreement.
  • If there's a particular Havelock destination you love, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
