Pine Knoll Shores rental home tips:
When to book & When to go:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best rental for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at Havelock restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain deals for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental:
- Select dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Exceptionally Clean 3Br/3Ba Oceanfront Condo in the Heart of the Crystal Coast has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the host before you reserve the vacation property. - Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
- Some rental properties allow pets, but some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.
Some things to know before you go:
- Add the host's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. message the property manager immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
