Tricks and tips to get the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
Sticking to your spending plan:
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Havelock attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain offers and deals for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to select the best vacation home in the Havelock area:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Mama's Cottage: 6 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Oceanview House has 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rental home search.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
- If there's a particular Havelock destination you are crazy about, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.
Tips to have a smooth stay:

- Lock your rental while you are away. Keep your property safe!
- Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
