Tricks and tips to get the optimal Havelock vacation property experience:
When to visit Beaufort & When to book:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summertime is the most expensive season in Beaufort. To get the best value, try shifting your vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
- Many management companies supply Havelock area visitor guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Planning, selecting, and booking the perfectrental home:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Cozy Beaufort Home with Hot Tub and Boat Driveway has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what configuration is right for your group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Havelock beach you long to visit, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your smartphone.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your holiday.
- To make certain damages are not attributed to your family's visit, note any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on great ratings to drive future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
