Tricks and tips to get the best vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • In the Havelock area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer months are high season in the Havelock area. To find the most suitable vacation home within budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Havelock restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Many property management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Filter your search:

  • Choose a group leader, select your trip dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Cozy Beaufort Home with Hot Tub and Boat Driveway has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving your home. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Often, property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available before reserving a rental

Advice for a great stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your trip.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, make a record of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to stimulate future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
