How to find the best Atlantic Beach vacation property experience:
Get the best rental home value:
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitor guides which often include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Use filters to narrow your search:
- Start by having your family choose a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Newly renovated beach home with decks, ocean views, and outdoor shower has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before you book the property. Note that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish what is right for your family.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Often, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's an individual Havelock destination you long to visit, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
More considerations for your visit:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental while you are out. Protect your property!
- During arrival, document any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Keep records of all coorespondence.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great source for finding the best local spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- When it's time to leave, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did you have a excellent time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
