How to book the best Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:
Getting the best value:
- In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in Fall or Spring months is an excellent way to save on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
How to select the best rental home in Atlantic Beach:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanfront complex, two pools, beach access, and king bed! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before you reserve the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your trip.
- Some rentals allow pets, but some do not. Allowable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a certain Havelock attraction you long to visit, look for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Be sure you get the host's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your .
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
- Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
