Oceanfront living just doesn't get any better than this. The beach is right outside your door. Walkway straight from your deck, to the white sandy beach. There is always a nice summer breeze that keeps you comfortable when having fun in the sun. We have a new solar heated outdoor shower for 2021. There are beach umbrellas, body boards, noodles, pails and shovels to keep you busy if you want to be active. A Bocci set and/or a frisbie if you want to take it up a notch. Others like calming on the deck, sitting in the new 'rockers' 2021, under the shade of the overhang and watching the pelicans fly by or see the dolphins hanging out. During turtle season, you may even see a loggerhead. See the unobstructed view of the stars at nighttime. Savor our entirely outfitted kitchen. We even have complimentary k-cups, Hot Chocolate, and tea for your arrival, to get you by until you make your grocery run. Do you like to grille at the beach? We have a gas grille all ready for your world famed burgers. We have board games, card games and books to satisfy the kid in anybody. Pirate stories, lighthouse books, shells and more, Direct Tv throughout!
Of course we are dog friendly so we have the pooch covered too. Dog bowl, toys, and need we say more, a good supply of doggie pick up bags.
Inside when you retire for the evening, the Master welcomes you with a brand new June 2016 queen pillow top bed and it's own bath. The other bedrooms have brand new 2016 queen and 2 doubles. Vacation rental booking tips:
Sticking to a budget:
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer time is high season in the Havelock area. To get the largest vacation home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Choose your vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Pet Friendly And Cozy Oceanfront Cottage w\/Views From Nearly Every Room has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the host before reserving the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If your family is bringing pets, you must reserve a property that allows animals. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Be aware that some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- Are you looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your visit:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Save the directions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, intercom or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many difficulties.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are away, just like you would back home.
- Make a record of any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local beaches.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- On check-out day, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or host was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
