Located in Atlantic Beach, this condo is on the waterfront. Fort Macon State Park and Beaufort Historic Site are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores and North Carolina Maritime Museum. Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Golf and Raceway and Mount Maker Charters are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to book & When to go:

• Summer months are the most expensive season in Atlantic Beach. To find the largest vacation home for your budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Havelock restaurants, tours, and activities.
• Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a discount.
• Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
• Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Finding the perfect vacation rental:

• First, have your family agree to vacation dates and a spending budget.

• Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. If not, email the host before reserving the rental. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
• If there's a certain Havelock destination you are crazy about, search for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
• Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
• Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or might be applied to your agreement.

During your stay:

• Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
• To ensure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, make a record of any problem areas during arrival. Call the property manager immediately to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
• Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
• Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would've not otherwise known!
• Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Lock your vacation home while you're away. Protect your property!
• On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.
