Bring the whole family to Summer Shade with tons of room for fun inside and out. Convenient sound side location with just a short walk to the beach access, across the street. You'll appreciate quieter days and a less traveled street in Emerald Isle with tons of natural vegetation offering a cool Summer Shade experience. Freshly refreshed and furnished in 2023. You'll have everything you need to savor a calming vacation experience.

Outdoor amenities include an enclosed hot/cold shower under the front deck, cold only shower in back as well as a stainless fish cleaning station. Spread out on the broad deck in the evening under the shade of live oaks. Downstairs in the garage enjoy an open space to kick back with a game of ping pong or air hockey.

Bring your kayaks/paddle boards or boat and put in at the public ramp located only a tenth of a mile on 13th street.

Get the best value:

  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Havelock area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses.
