How to find the best Atlantic Beach vacation rental experience:
When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to book:
- Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To find the best value, change your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
- In the Havelock area, The sooner your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Many rental management companies supply Havelock area travel guides which often include special offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the perfect vacation rental in the Havelock area:
- Start by having your group select a vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Waterfront Retreat! Beach\/Sound Access\/Sunset view has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what configuration is optimal for your family.
- Is your family looking for unique amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your contract.
More considerations:
- Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Record any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are useful if a dispute is filed.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, intercom or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable visitors disrupting your peaceful home. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to drive more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
