Booking the best Atlantic Beach rental home experience:
When to book & When to go:
- In the Havelock area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in Atlantic Beach. To book the most suitable rental home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Havelock attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.
Use filters to narrow your rental search:
- Select dates and spending budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Oceanside Condo in Atlantic Beach, NC-Anchors Away Unit 2 has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email the property owner before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your vacation.
- Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.
- Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental
More tips for your stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Property managers are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did you have a fantastic stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
