Our top Atlantic Beach rental home booking tips:
Sticking to a budget:
- Summer is the most expensive season in the Havelock area. Book your rental property in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
- The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental home.
- Owners sometimes offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group.
- Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Often, management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides which include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Planning, picking, and booking the right Havelock vacation home:
- Select your vacation week and budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family needs. Atlantic Beach Beachside Studio Getaway_Kitchen_Pool has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what is suitable for your group.
- Visiting for a single event? Use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Know before you go:
- Review arrival and departure procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
- To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the property manager immediately to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent many difficulties.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Walk through the property a final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
