Tricks and tips to get the best Beaufort rental home experience:
Get the best value:
- The sooner you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summer months are the most expensive season in Beaufort. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property managers typically offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations, restaurants and tours.
How to choose the perfect rental:
- Begin by selecting your vacation dates and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration you need. Gorgeous Inlet View - Balcony & Pool has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking pages. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the property. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
- If your group is traveling with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Havelock destination you crave, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
More considerations:
- We recommend storing the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many concerns.
- Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors disrupting your quiet neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
