Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental experience:
When to reserve a Havelock rental home & When to go:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your Havelock rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area travel guides which include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Choosing and booking yourrental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your dates, and select a max budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. ????Emerald Isle 3bedroom House Sound Side???? has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is commonly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches.
- Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your agreement.
- If there's a particular Havelock destination you simply love, search for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
Considerations for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, intercom or WIFI setup. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of problems.
- Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- At Check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
