Tricks and tips to get the perfect Beaufort vacation home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in Beaufort. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring to enjoy gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your group.
- Booking websites often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Many management companies supply Havelock area visitors guide magazines which often include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Narrow your rental Search:
- Choose your vacation dates and budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Nimbus Novem Studio Apt - Beaufort, NC has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available online. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms.
- If your group is traveling with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.
- If there's a specific Havelock attraction you are crazy about, keep an eye out for homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
More considerations for your visit:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the directions to your phone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many concerns.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.

- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review.
