Tips to get the perfect Indian Beach rental home experience:
Finding the best rental home value:
- Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Owners sometimes offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Havelock visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines contain coupons for nearby accommodations and attractions.
Make a plan and pick a perfect Havelock rental home:
- Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront - The Ocean Club - Sand, Sun & Family Fun - Indian Beach\/Emerald Isle has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about your furry family members before booking.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your phone.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your family's stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas during check in. Speak to the property manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great resource to find the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental property while you are gone! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
- Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
