Tips for getting the perfect Atlantic Beach vacation home experience:
When to visit Atlantic Beach & When to reserve a rental home:
- Summer is high season in the Havelock area. To book the largest vacation home for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Filter your search:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and select a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean View - Spacious cottage with modern amenities has 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. Otherwise, contact the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to determine which bed configuration is right for your group.
- If there's an individual Havelock beach you long to visit, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
- Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Extra fees or applied to your contract.
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Note any damages to the property at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of concerns.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected everything. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
