We are "locals" in Emerald Isle, and pleased to host your family vacation in our comfortable oceanfront home. Whether you are looking for a charming hideaway, a fun gathering place for the family, or an appealing fishing destination, Sea Star is the place to be! This handsome sea bungalow features two separate sides for individual families, or you may book both sides for huge groups!
Each side sleeps 9 guests in 4 roomy bedrooms, and each side has two full baths, one downstairs and one upstairs. Kitchens have full amenities, and the cozy furnishings & breezy colors bring the essence of the seashore inside! Each side has 3 enormous flat-screen TVs with Spectrum TV cable and high-speed internet.
In addition to being just steps from the surf, Sea Star features million-dollar vistas from both deck-levels. You will savor hours of relaxation on the broad decks below, and some upstairs bedrooms offer sliding glass doors with a deck, tall viewing chairs and unmatched vistas of the shining sands and crystal water. Sip a glass of wine from the upper deck as the sun sets, then create a masterpiece in the kitchen - with newly-caught local seafood, of course!
This listing is for Sea Star East (Vacation Rental By Owner #1091861). Strategies to get the perfect Havelock vacation home experience:
Sticking to a spending plan:
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. To find the best value, consider changing your family's Havelock vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
- Reserve your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some hosts and property managers offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides have deals for local shops and restaurants.
How to choose and book yourrental home:
- Select vacation week and budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. OCEANFRONT 4 BR/2 BA 1/2 duplex with stunning views! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, email or call the host before you book the rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your family.
- If there's a particular Havelock destination you simply love, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly property. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Be aware that some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Have a fantastic stay:
- Add the property manager's contact info to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Record any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did you have a wonderful stay? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
