Tips and Tricks for getting the best Beaufort vacation property experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in Beaufort. Booking your vacation rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Havelock area visitors guides that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best rental in the Havelock area:

  • First, have your family commit to trip dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Quaint Cottage in Beaufort, NC (Trails End) has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Havelock rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the host before booking the property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable breeds and types before booking.

Tips for a fantastic stay:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your phone.
  • To make sure damages are not attributed to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. message the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents many problems.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
  • Re-check the property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great ratings to inspire more bookings. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
