How to find the best vacation rental experience:
Find your perfect rental home:
- Summer is high season in Pine Knoll Shores. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Havelock trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
- Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers often offer customers an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Havelock area visitors guides which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a partnership between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Havelock visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Choosing and booking the right Havelock rental:
- Begin by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration you need. Suncatcher, Almost Oceanfront House in Pine Knoll Shores, NC! has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is commonly accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- Does your family require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
- Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask your host about allowable breeds and types before booking.
More considerations for your visit:
- Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the rental manager right away to relay any issues. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and places you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Keep your property safe!
- Just prior to departing, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
