Atlantic Beach just made #16 in the list of Top 100 Beaches in the United States, beating out even beaches in Hawaii! Truly a hidden gem, as this part of the island doesn't have public access, beyond a few cars, so it's just folks staying right there.
My favorite spots here are the broad with outdoor areas, including dining, humongous sectional couches, and fire table to savor as the sun goes down. I adore that I can hear the waves crash from here.

Havelock vacation rental booking tips:
Sticking to your rental home budget:
- Summertime is high season in the Havelock area. To get the largest rental within budget, we suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have deals for local accommodations and attractions.
Choosing and booking a perfectvacation home:
- First and foremost, have your family decide on dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Barefoot Beach: Spectacular Family Beach Retreat! has 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available online. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what is right for your vacation group.
- Are you looking for special amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
- If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge additional pet fees.
Considerations for your stay:
- Put the owner's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that damages are not linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. message the property manager right away to report any damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent many difficulties.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You will magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out. Protect your property!
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
