With beach access points just a quarter-mile around the corner in either direction, this multi-story condo is a excellent home base for taking in the beauty of Atlantic Beach. Spend your days surfing, beachcombing, and basking in the fragrant ocean breeze on three levels of deck space.

This condo sits one block back from the ocean on the east side of downtown. It's a prime location that gives you painless access to dining and shopping in the heart of town (one mile west) and striking Fort Macon State Park (one mile east) with its pre-Civil War fort and alluring opportunities for swimming and birding. A sandy path across the way provides a shortcut to the beach through the dunes.

There's a deck for every occasion here, whether you're savoring your morning coffee off the top-floor primary bedroom, barbecuing on the ground-floor patio, or sipping drinks in the shade on the main level.

Inside, the home is full of coastal character, beginning with the bright, breezy, and open living space on the main floor. Appreciate a well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a dining area, and a living room with a TV for family movie nights. More entertainment awaits in the converted garage downstairs, where you'll find a Ping-Pong table and cornhole to set up outside. Strategies to get the perfect vacation rental experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Havelock area. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Havelock restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Havelock vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Look for your local Havelock visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Make a plan and choose yourvacation home:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Light-filled condo with 3-level deck, Ping-Pong & beach around the corner has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property owner before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your invoice.
  • If there's an individual Havelock destination you long to visit, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Advice for your stay:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • To make sure damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night out, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
