How to get the best Havelock vacation rental experience:
Find your best deal:
- The sooner you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental home.
- Summer months are high season in Beaufort. To find the best rental within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Havelock area magazine upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
Selecting the perfect vacation home in the Havelock area:
- Start by having your group choose vacation dates and a spending budget.
- Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. NEW 4BD 4.5BA Home W/ Incredible Beaufort Bridge Views, on Town Creek Marina has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is almost always accessible online. If they are not listed, email or call the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches.
- If your group is traveling with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, size, and type requirements. Usually, hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a particular Havelock destination you simply love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. .
Considerations for your stay:
- Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of issues.
- Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
- To make sure damages are not attributed to your visit, record any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager right away to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
- Be a good neighbor. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- At departure, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
