Our top Atlantic Beach rental home booking tips:
When to visit & When to book:
- Summer time is high season in Atlantic Beach. Book your Havelock rental home in the Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
- In the Havelock area, The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Property managers typically offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
- Look for your local Havelock visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Havelock area:
- First, have your family decide on date ranges and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Oceanfront Atlantic Beach, Sleeps 8, 500 Ft, Fishing Pier, Small pets with fee. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. Otherwise, email or call the property management company before you book the property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly property. Request details on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
More tips for your visit:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- To make sure that no damages are attributed to your visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Get in touch with the host right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
- Be respectful. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Double-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
