Also, dolphins pass and/or play just off shore nearly twice every day and even a humpback whale has been seen just past the end of the pier.

Really nice to see: Fort Macon, civil war fort and Beaufort Museum has articles of Blackbeard's ship (Queen Anne Revenge found down the beach about one mile out.
